You can delete your account yourself, from the app:
Account → Delete account → follow the instructions.
For your safety, you will be asked to have signed in recently. If you have not, sign in again and start over.
Your account is deactivated immediately. You can no longer reach it, and your listings disappear from the site at once.
You then have thirty days to change your mind. During that time, simply signing in cancels the deletion: you get your account, your listings and your history back, untouched.
After that, the deletion becomes final and cannot be undone.
Write to contact@ijik.app from the email address attached to your account.
We will verify your identity before going ahead.
At the end of the thirty days, the following are erased for good:
- your account and your email address
- your profile, your name, your phone number, your photo
- your saved delivery addresses
- all your listings, and all their photos
- your favourites and your saved searches
- your seller profile
- the reviews you wrote, and the reviews you received
- the reports you made
- the people you had blocked
- your notification preferences
Some traces are kept, but without your identifier: they no longer lead back to you.
These are the administration logs and the moderation decisions. We keep them because they document our own decisions, and because the law may hold us to account for them.
No personal data remains in them once your account is deleted, except in the case described below.
One exception, in a single case. If we closed your account for a serious breach — harassment or threats, hateful or discriminatory remarks, sexual content involving a minor, fraud — the record of that decision is kept together with your identity, in order to protect other users. It is kept for five years after the account is closed, then erased. We keep it to protect other users and to be able to answer for our decision if we are asked. In every other case, including when you simply delete your account, nothing that identifies you remains.
It does not erase what others have copied. If someone saved the photo from your listing or wrote down your contact details, we have no hold over that.
It does not undo your dealings. An item sold stays sold, a commitment made stays made.
If you want to keep a record of your listings, write them down before starting the deletion. After the thirty days, we can restore nothing.
